LUAP travels extensively for Location Shoots, taking The Pink Bear into remote, unfamiliar and often physically demanding environments in order to create new work. These journeys have taken him across mountains, forests, deserts, coastlines, cities and abandoned spaces around the world.
Each location is selected for what it can bring to the work: scale, atmosphere, isolation, tension or an unexpected relationship with The Pink Bear. Working in real environments means responding to changing weather, terrain, light and circumstance rather than controlling every element of the image.
The Photography created during these shoots can exist as finished work in its own right or become the starting point for larger Paintings, carrying the experience and character of a particular place into the final piece.

The Pink Bear traveled to New York to tour the city.
A 6am start & the team of 53 was pumped & raring to go...Vanessa Von Tain arrived fresh as a daisy in her Rock 'N' Roll outfit. Louise Thompson in her rose gold tipped trainers. We all scrambled into Starbucks for a caffeine fix, before turning it into a makeshift beauty salon. We then moved to Sketch.
