HOT METAL
Rusted metal has long been a favourite of artists, but this year, it is the material of choice for the garden too, from planters and lighting to border and edging and fencing. Artist Paul Robinson's latest pieces, including Causality (above), for his ongoing Decadence collection are timely extensions of the theme. Made to order, Paul has the pattern (based on a wallpaper in his mother's house) laser-cut into the rusted steel panels, which are then framed ready for use inside or out. Prices start at £4,000 for a panel measuring 6ft x 4ft.
