LUAP appears on the cover of Blow Out Magazine for an interview exploring The Pink Bear, adventure, mental health and the relationship between Photography, Painting and travel within his practice.
LUAP discusses how travel developed from an unconscious form of therapy into a deliberate part of his creative process, taking The Pink Bear into mountains and remote landscapes to make Photography on location. The conversation also traces the bear from a childhood memory recovered during Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to an increasingly independent character within the work, and includes the first public announcement of a new series of large-scale portraits exploring other people’s experiences of mental health.
