Cara Delevingne, Sophia Kerrison and Kids of Dada select LUAP’s Fail Guard Screen Print for Art4Animals, an international project developed with Talenthouse. The work will be released as part of a 16-artist limited-edition collection supporting New Hope Animal Rescue.
Created as part of The Heroes Journey, Fail Guard explores the difficulty of letting go of things that have already ended but remain psychologically present. Relationships, experiences and familiar patterns can continue to occupy space long after their purpose has passed.
The work comes from the early development of The Pink Bear, when the figure moves through forest landscapes shaped by ideas of isolation, fear and finding a way through. The Screen Print combines Acrylic, Screen Print and Aerosol on Somerset White Satin Paper, allowing printed imagery, colour and painted marks to occupy the same surface.
Art4Animals brings together artists and designers internationally around the relationship between people and animals. More than 540 works are considered through the Talenthouse open call before 16 are chosen by Cara Delevingne, Sophia Kerrison and Kids of Dada for the final collection.
Fail Guard will be produced in an edition of 50 and released through Kids of Dada. Profits from the collection will support New Hope Animal Rescue, which provides care for animals facing euthanasia, medical needs and other difficult circumstances.
