LUAP’s I’m Glad I Found You series is featured by Made In Shoreditch, bringing together unseen Paintings completed during lockdown after the exhibition they were intended for was cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The feature reflects on isolation, nostalgia, connection and the desire for escape running through the series, while tracing The Pink Bear’s development across a decade of LUAP’s practice. Among the ten Paintings is the monumental Portrait Of An Artist (One Figure And Three Bears) After Hockney, created during lockdown as travel plans were suspended and the studio became a space for revisiting memories of freedom, movement and places beyond its walls.
