LUAP and The Pink Bear appear on the cover of ArtDog Istanbul’s November–December 2022 issue, with a feature exploring mental health, recovery, climate, ecology and loneliness across his Painting, Photography and Installation.
The article traces The Pink Bear back to the childhood memory rediscovered during therapy and follows the figure into real landscapes around the world. It also looks at LUAP’s Portobello Road banana mural through a wider art-historical lineage, referencing artists including Andy Warhol, Sarah Lucas and Maurizio Cattelan, before turning to his participation in Christie’s Me, My Brain and I charity auction.
