The Pink Bear makes its first music video appearance in DogHaus’s Down & Dirty, directed by Tom Gorst. The cameo places the figure inside a surreal club sequence and marks a new kind of cultural collaboration for LUAP.
The invitation came through Sophia Kerrison, who LUAP had met earlier through the Art4Animals project with Cara Delevingne and Kids of Dada. That connection led to an invitation to the DogHaus shoot, where a visit to the set developed into a brief appearance in the finished video.
Directed and edited by Tom Gorst, Down & Dirty unfolds through a surreal nightclub world of masks, theatrical characters and dark humour. The Pink Bear appears within the club sequence, becoming part of the atmosphere rather than the subject of the video.
The cameo lasts only a few seconds, at around 1 minute 22 seconds, but it marks the first time The Pink Bear appears in a professionally produced music video. What began through one creative connection developed naturally into another.
Jasmine Webb, who features on the track, later tweeted LUAP after the shoot, “I saw the Pink Bear really wanted to dance with him super cute”.
Down & Dirty is the first single from DogHaus. The video was directed and edited by Tom Gorst, produced by Fred Bonham Carter, with cinematography by Simon Plunket, and released through RME / Sony Music Entertainment UK.
